About me

Hello, I'm Aisha, a Speech and Language Therapist with experience supporting children and young people from preschool age through to young adulthood.

Since qualifying in 2020, I have worked across a range of settings including the NHS, private practice, independent practice, mainstream schools, specialist provisions, pupil referral units (PRUs), nurseries, and community services. This has given me the opportunity to support young people with a wide range of speech, language, and communication differences, including autism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), speech sound differences, selective mutism, learning disabilities, AAC users, and more!

My approach is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and centred around building positive relationships. I believe that communication looks different for everyone, and support should reflect each young person's individual strengths, needs, interests, and goals. I aim to create a calm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people and their families feel heard, understood, and supported.

No two young people are the same, which is why I take a flexible and collaborative approach. Whether working directly with a young person, alongside families, or in partnership with education settings, the focus is always on finding meaningful and practical ways to strengthen communication and support participation in everyday life.

If you would like to learn more about the support available or discuss your young person's needs, you are welcome to book an introductory consultation. This provides an opportunity to ask questions, share any concerns, and explore the most appropriate next steps. I would love the opportunity to work alongside your young person and family to help them build confidence and develop their communication skills.

Professional accreditation

As a registered Speech and Language Therapist, practice is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and supported through membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Services are delivered in line with professional standards, current evidence, and best practice. An enhanced DBS check is also held, providing reassurance when working with children and young people across homes, schools, and community settings.
